Schooling
For the convenience of exhibitors schooling will be allowed throughout the day on Monday beginning at
10:00 a.m. A schedule will be posted. All horse on the grounds will be required to pay a $20.00 Schooling
Fee. Hard hats must be worn. No poling will be allowed at any times.

All classes will be judged on performance and soundness unless otherwise noted. Any section in a Hunter Division may be asked to run back-to-back. The appropriate rules will be adhered to at all times.

CHILDREN'S HUNTER
USEF "C" Rated
Open to horses and ponies to be ridden by a Junior Exhibitor. Riders and horses are eligible for any equitation classes. The horse/rider combination is not eligible for USEF rated classes other than Hunter Under Saddle classes. A rider may show only one horse in the section if showing in other divisions 3’6” or higher, except equitation. To be judged on performance, soundness, manners, way of going, size of rider to mount, with suitability of child's mount stressed. Horses and ponies may be jogged for soundness at management's discretion. Height of fences 3’; spreads not to exceed height of fence.

93. Open to amateur riders 18 years of age and older. A rider need not be a member of the WIHS or North American League to compete, but only current members will accrue points toward year-end finals to be held at the Washington International and Pennsylvania National Horse Show. To be conducted in accordance with USEF Rule HU136 and current zone specifications. To be eligible, the horses must have entered, shown and completed the course in at least two classes in the Hunter Section. Proper Attire Required.
The last class of each section of Adult Amateur Hunter will count as the first round.

A rider need not be a member of the WIHS or North American League to compete, but only current members will accrue points toward year-end finals to be held at the Washington International and Pennsylvania National Horse Show. To be conducted in accordance with USEF Rule HU136 and current zone specifications. Course: To be shown over 10 or more fences from 2’9”-3’ in height and spread. The last class of each section of Children’s Hunter will count as the first round.

$5,000 GERMANTOWN HUNTER CLASSIC
Classic Fee: $150.00
163: Open to all horses that compete in the following divisions: 1st and 2nd year Green & Regular Conformation, Regular Working, Amateur Owner Working, Small & Large Junior Working Hunters. The horse must compete at its respective level. Their respective level is considered to be what the horse and rider combination is entered for the show.

The class is to be judged on performance and soundness, with manners emphasized. It is to be scored under the open numerical judging system. Each competitor will jump one round of approximately 10 fences. The designated classic first round will be the second trip of the division on the first day. All competitors must enter the Classic before the first round of their respective division. The top fifteen scores from the first round will return to jump a second round, with a posted order of low fences to higher fences, on Friday evening. Substitution of riders is permitted if the substitution is for a same level rider (i.e. Junior for Junior). The horse must show at the same height as in the first round qualifier. On deck horse must be ready and standing by the announcer’s stand. Scores will be added from both rounds to determine the winners. In case of a tie for first palace only, the tied horses will jump a third round over a shortened course as a tie breaker. In all other places which tie, the prize money will be added and distributed equally. Riders will toss a coin for tided ribbons.
