Sponsor Info
A sponsor can be an individual, a group, an
organization, a doctor, a lawyer, a neighborhood,
school, hospital, or church. Possibilities are endless.
Each sponsor gets:
1. His/Her or business name on an engraved metal plaque
on the base of the painted horse, with the name of the
design and the artist's name
2. His name listed in the map/pamphlet.
3. His name listed in all publications.
4. His painted horse with name, artist, and sponsor will
be shown in the GCHS program
5. A proclamation from the Mayor showing community pride
and support
6. His name listed in news paper articles
7. Four tickets to the auction
8. Twenty tickets to the Germantown Charity Horse Show,
June 10-14, 2008
9. Listed on our website - with his business "linking"
to our website.
10. The sponsor can choose the location of the horse,
within the DRC's guidelines.
The sponsors and selected artists will attend an
adoption party (or unpainted horse party) where the
sponsor selects a design and meets his artist.
Every artist's concept must pass the jury's selection.
If we have twenty sponsors, the jury will select thirty
designs. The night of the adoption party, the twenty
sponsors will choose the twenty designs they want. The
remaining designs will be available to any late
sponsors. A late sponsor may not get his name in all the
publications.
As a "The Horses Are Coming!" sponsor, you will get the
opportunity to highlight your commitment to our
community and our horse heritage. You will also be a
part of the largest, high-profile arts event in our
community. You will also have the satisfaction of
knowing that your support will help provide significant
funding to the Germantown Charity Horse Show.
All sponsors
should obtain an insurance rider on their existing
policy to cover liability for the painted horse. The
usual cost of this rider is no more that $50. The policy
should cover liability and damage up to $1,000,000 and
should extend from the time your artist picks up your
unpainted horse until the live auction.
